Initial consultation and assessment
This visit lays the groundwork for the entire treatment plan. We record your data, take photos, and provide referrals for X-rays if needed.
If it’s your first time with us, we understand you may have many questions or uncertainties. First impressions matter, so we do everything to ensure a calm and safe atmosphere from your very first visit. In our practice, orthodontics isn’t stressful—it’s a reassuring experience focused entirely on you, your needs, and your smile.
Below, we explain in detail how the first consultation works, what to expect throughout the entire treatment process, and how to prepare so you can get the most out of orthodontic care.
The goal of the first visit is to get to know each other, assess your current condition, and discuss your goals. Orthodontic treatment is a shared journey where both professional experience and your expectations play a key role.
During the first consultation:

This visit lays the groundwork for the entire treatment plan. We record your data, take photos, and provide referrals for X-rays if needed.
At the second visit, we take impressions (stone model or digital scan) and extra-/intraoral photographs. These help establish a precise diagnosis.
At the third visit, we review treatment options together. We present multiple choices for each patient (aligner, self-ligating, or classic braces), detailing their advantages, disadvantages, expected duration, and costs.
Once a decision is made, placing the braces takes about 1 hour. For removable appliances, we instruct you on proper use and hygiene.
Control visits are typically every 4 weeks, when we adjust or activate the appliance. You can always ask questions and we address minor issues on the spot.
After treatment, we stabilize the results. With retention appliances, we ensure that the outcome remains long-lasting. This phase takes at least 1 year.
We recommend yearly check-ups to maintain your well-aligned smile in the long term.
